Some History

		1943 Empresas Davis S.A. was founded Our company was founded by Messrs. Frank Westcott and Laurence Smith. In its beginnings the company focused on representing international companies of great prestige, such as E.C. de Witt, Bristol-Myers, Perfumes Dana, J.B. Williams Co., Wella and Chesebrough-Pond´s.

		1950 Consolidation of Davis In the 50’s Davis strongly invested in manufacturing, logistics and commercialization, in order to satisfy the needs of consumers and the high quality standards of the represented companies, being consolidated as one of the main Chilean companies in the trade activity.

		1980 Development and Extension of our Businesses We created the Pharmaceutical Division, in charge of the license of the Bristol-Myers products and later, the prestigious line of hospital products of B. Braun Medical. Similarly, we developed innovative enteric and parenteral nutrition products, such as ADN and Vigorbán, which are exported to several countries worldwide.

		1997 Acquisition of Important Brands We acquired the Feminine Protection Donnasept brand, today a market leader. Later, and in order to empower even further our business, we acquired the perfume Brands of Laboratorios Ghia S.A. and the Lever Chile Feminine Fragrances Division. In 2002, the company acquired the oral care brand Dento.

		2000 Joint Venture Davis – Familie Sancela SCA A new strategic association is born with the important Swedish – Colombian consortium family Sancela SCA to consolidate the leadership of the company in the Feminine Protection Category with the brand Donnasept.

		2006 International Expansion We opened our first business commercial office in Mexico, manufacturing and commercializing exclusive products for important clients such as Wall Mart Mexico, Farmacias Guadalajara and Farmacias Benavides.
